Common questions
What does the review actually look like?
A normal GitHub pull request review from a BuildPulse bot account, with inline comments on the lines in question. It resolves to approve, request changes, or a plain comment, and reports a commit status alongside it — so it fits the review flow your team already uses.
Will it spam my pull requests with nitpicks?
That is the thing we tuned hardest against. The agent is pointed at correctness — bugs, missing edge cases, obvious regressions — and told to stay quiet about formatting and style preferences your linter already handles.
Can it merge or change my code?
No. On your repositories it reviews and comments. It does not push commits, open pull requests, or merge anything.
Can I use AI code review today?
Not yet. It is built and running, but it is not generally available, so it is not part of any plan right now. Talk to us if you want early access — we are onboarding teams individually before we put it on the pricing page.
How is the cost controlled?
Every review runs under a monthly review limit plus hard time and spend ceilings on each individual review. A single unusually large pull request cannot run away with your budget.
Which model is behind it?
Anthropic Claude. We pick the model for the job and keep it current as better ones ship, rather than pinning you to whatever was best the day you signed up.
Does it need access to my whole organization?
It works through the BuildPulse GitHub App, and reviews only run on repositories where you have explicitly enabled the feature.
